Convention Corner
June 18
Inspiration & Initiation
This year, Inspiration and Initiation will be hosted by Gamma Nu–North Texas! The chapter has spent months preparing, and the alumnae team has worked hard to recruit and educate alumnae initiates. We can’t wait for you to experience it.
As a Convention attendee, your presence makes this special event even more meaningful for our newest members, their sponsors and the host chapter. It’s also a chance to reflect on your own Delta Gamma journey and celebrate what makes our Fraternity so special.
All Convention attendees are encouraged to write notes of congratulations and welcome to the alumna initiates. There will be a designated alumna initiate card basket next to the regional baskets with their names listed. The candidates include: Judith Arnell, Deedra Atkisson, Teresa Ball, Valentine Cabell, Lynette Cooper, Melanie Facundo, Paula Gaub, Rachel George, Marielle Groundwater, Jaymie Pedigo, Sarah Strotman and Katie Villarreal.
Regional Baskets
Each year at Convention, attendees can write letters to other attendees and leave them in an area where they can stop by to pick them up. Near the registration desk, there will be a basket for each region. If you would like to write a letter to a friend, you can leave it in the basket for the region in which they live. Baskets will be out until the Closing Banquet. Make sure you check the basket; you never know when you might have mail. So, pack your stationery, sisters!
Parking Information
If you’re driving to Convention you will receive discounted self-park rates. If you are staying onsite at the hotel, the discounted parking price will automatically be reflected on your room charge. For those driving in each day, visit the event registration desk to receive your parking sticker. This sticker ensures you receive the discounted price for the day and must be renewed daily.
Group Photos
To view the group photo schedule, click here. Thank you to everyone who requested a slot for a group photo. We did our best to accommodate as many requests as possible in the time frame we have available.
Five minutes before your time slot, please gather in Grapevine AC to organize your group. A staff member will announce your group from the microphone and escort you to the photo area. If you are in multiple photos during the same time block, please head over with your first group and stay at the photo station for the others. To help everything run smoothly, please do not crowd the photo area until your group is called.
Lactation Room
A lactation room with freezer space will be available for the duration of Convention. To gain access, please visit the registration desk on-site. Freezer access will be available on Sunday morning to collect anything left in the freezer.
Do Good at Convention
Take advantage of these incredible Service for Sight awareness opportunities as they will only be present on Friday, June 26! Enter a world where art is felt, not just seen.
Internationally acclaimed artist, John Bramblitt, will be hosting a one-of-a-kind opportunity that will transform the way you experience art and creativity. Known for his vibrant, expressive works collected in over 120 countries, Bramblitt – who is blind – paints entirely through touch using texture, raised lines, and “haptic visualization.”
But you won’t just watch him create a masterpiece, you’ll get to make your own, too, in the form of an art trading card. This inspiring experience invites you to embrace curiosity and create an unforgettable memory. To learn more about Bramblitt, check out his website. This experience will be on Friday during the Sip and Shop from 4:15 – 6:15 p.m.
Breakfast
As a reminder, breakfast will not be provided to attendees. Each hotel room has a mini fridge and a coffee pot (no pods). There are no microwaves available onsite, so plan accordingly! Attendees are welcome to order food or grocery delivery to keep in their rooms or pack non-perishable items to bring with them. Coffee and tea service will be available all day on Friday and Saturday.
The hotel offers a convenient way to order food for pickup or delivery here or via the Gaylord app. This provides a menu for all onsite restaurants. If you would like to order ahead and have food delivered, select from the “Texan Eats” menu.

Howdy, sisters! We can’t wait to join you in the Lone Star State so soon! We’re mighty impressed with how y’all have saddled up and shown out for Delta Gamma through the Regional Race Giving Challenge! Don’t forget there are now three opportunities for your region to shine, and it is truly anyone’s race! ⭐Most dollars raised ⭐Most donor support ⭐Most spirited (Be sure to pack some of that region spirit!) We’re just getting started and can’t wait for the competition to heat up under the Texas sun! You can check the Regional Race Dashboard to see where your region is stacking up and check the challenges where we could use your help! By championing Regional Race, you support our sisters with Foundation scholarships, fellowships and grants, provide training and programming designed to inspire tomorrow’s leaders and continuously empower people who are blind or have low vision through Service for Sight. Make your gift today and give your region the boost it needs! The competition will culminate in an announcement on Saturday, June 27, at Convention’s closing banquet, but no matter which region comes out on top, our entire sisterhood wins!

Sunday Departure Info – Bus Pickup & Schedule
Bus transportation to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) will be available from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 28.
To board the shuttle, please proceed to the hotel’s Main Lobby. A transportation coordinator will be available to direct you to the Tour Bus Lobby, where buses will depart. When facing the Main Lobby entrance doors, the Tour Bus Lobby is on the far right, past the bellstand.
The shuttle will operate continuously on a loop during these hours, and no advance sign-up or time-slot reservation is required. We recommend arriving at the airport at least two hours before your scheduled departure, so please plan your shuttle departure accordingly.
If you are flying from an airport other than DFW or require transportation outside the shuttle’s operating hours, please arrange alternative transportation, such as a rideshare service or a taxi. Otherwise, attendees are expected to utilize the provided shuttle service.
Collegiate and alumnae delegates should coordinate with their chapters regarding reimbursement for transportation expenses. Fraternity and Foundation required Leadership attendees should include these expenses on their event reimbursement forms. As a reminder, all reimbursement requests must be submitted within 30 days of the purchase date.

Convention Approved List for Extension
At Convention, all delegates will vote on updates to the Convention Approved List for Extension, which allows Delta Gamma to explore future chapter growth opportunities through the extension process.
This year, the extension team is recommending 11 campus additions and two removals based on alignment with current extension priorities, recent establishments, and long-term organizational needs. Ahead of Convention, we invite attendees to review the proposed changes and share any questions, feedback or suggestions with the extension team by Monday, June 15. Proposed updates can include:
- Adding campuses where at least one NPC organization is currently present
- Adding campuses where Delta Gamma has previously had a chapter
- Removing campuses that have closed in the past biennium
- Removing campuses that do not currently have any NPC organizations
Convention delegates will vote on the proposed updates during the Extension Report at General Session 2. View the current list of proposed revisions here. For reference, the Convention Approved List for Extension approved at Convention 2024 can be found here. Please email extensioninquiry@deltagamma.org with any questions or feedback.
Group Photos
We are offering affinity groups, regions, alumnae chapters, CDCs and other groups the opportunity to have group photos taken on Friday from 4:30-5:30 p.m.! To be added to the list, please complete the sign-up form by Monday, June 15. While we will make every effort to accommodate all requests, photo sessions will be scheduled based on availability during the allotted time.
A photo schedule and details will be posted on the Convention website prior to the event and displayed on screen at the conclusion of the Foundation Annual Meeting to help groups begin gathering.

Ribbon Wall
The ribbon wall is back! Attendees will be able to select ribbons to add to their nametag. We’re also introducing stickers for alumna initiate sponsors, Collegiate Advisory Board members, Alumnae Advisory Board members and micro chapters. Visit the ribbon wall near the registration desk to pick up any ribbons and stickers that apply to you. Please refrain from grabbing extra ribbons for members not in attendance.
Dietary Restriction Cards
If you indicated a dietary restriction during registration, the hotel banquet staff has been notified. Dietary meal cards for any special meals will be available on the back of your nametag.
When wait staff asks about dietary restrictions, please provide the appropriate card for that meal. If you do not have a card for a specific meal, the standard menu should meet your dietary needs. If you cannot eat the meal being served, please notify the wait staff. Menus will be displayed before each meal.

Book Your Hotel
If you are a non-delegate or guest staying onsite at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, the deadline to book hotel rooms at the group rate is Monday, June 1. All rooms booked after that date are subject to the hotel’s availability and the rate at the time of booking. To book, call 1-877-491-5138 and ask to be placed in the Delta Gamma Convention block, or use our direct booking link.
Delegate Hotel Rooms
The events team is in the process of booking hotel accommodations on your behalf. All mutual Leadership delegate roommate requests will be honored, and other pairings will be made at the staff’s discretion. If you requested a rooming waiver, the events team has been in contact to confirm. All collegiate and alumnae delegates will be paired with a delegate in a similar region or chapter size. Roommate pairings and hotel confirmation numbers will be shared closer to the event.
Breakfast
You may notice that group breakfasts are not scheduled as part of Convention this year. This change was made for two primary reasons. First, based on past attendance patterns, even when breakfast has been provided, participation has been limited, resulting in significant food waste. Second, removing scheduled breakfast allows a slightly later start each day, providing attendees with the opportunity for additional rest and the ability to arrive at the first session feeling refreshed and ready to engage.
Additional information about the hotel’s breakfast options and in-room amenities will be shared closer to the event. We appreciate your understanding and willingness to embrace this adjusted approach.
Delegate Webinar
All delegates are encouraged to watch this webinar hosted by Fraternity Constitution and Elections Chair and Fraternity Parliamentarian. The webinar covers understanding your role as a Convention delegate, Fraternity Council and Fraternity Nominating Committee elections, the 2025-26 election guidelines, consent agenda and the proposed constitutional amendments.
